the home of Doran Barton (& family) Christine's Journal - 20 July 1997

I had a dream that Melissa shot me with a nail gun because I wouldn't give her a couch pillow, but Dad came and saved me. Both Mom & Dad were in another dream where I was telling them what good parents they were, but Mom's hair was short and curly, the way she used to wear it. It was really good to see them though. When you're dreaming, you don't know it's a dream.

Work is going well for both of us. We both have lots to do. I feel lucky to be here, this is really a great place to work. I have two SGI O2's in my office. They run about $10,000 each! I get to work with million dollar machines. Weird isn't it. I could only hope to get a real job this cool. I would be the envy of myself! hee hee They gave me a pager. That is so when I set up a cluster of machines, if one of them has a problem, it can page me! Pretty cool. It's mostly for demo purposes. But, I can receive email to it too. That way they can tell me who they are. "Hey, this is blizzard, I'm having problems." Or something like that.

I'm not looking forward to going back to school. Doran is saying that he is going to go to graduate school, I'm telling him that he can't. I think he has a short memory, he doesn't remember how much he hates school. I'm not going to worry until he gets accepted, which I don't think will happen.
